recessed lighting question?
we’re planning on putting recessed lights in the living room. We are installing 6 lights. How would look if we used a brown trim for each light..how would it look on a white ceiling in a living room with wood furniture and wood colored moldings? The other options are the stainless steel and white. All our furniture is old fashion wood furniture and we have a lot of brown stuff (picture frames, wall art, clock, etc.)
You can choose what you like. Personally I like the recessed lighting to blend with the ceiling so your eye is not drawn to the lights, so I like the look of white. Having a brown trimmed light will look like brown circles on the ceiling in the daylight, so keep that in mind when you are deciding. This sort of lighting is not meant to be the focal point of the room. They are meant to be mood lighting and/or to shine on artwork or be task lighting, not the focal point…leave that to a great antique or picture.
