Do Blacks & Biracials Know Much About Their Own History?
There is an incredible amount to learn about Black history in America. And many black historical facts are truly amazing! But do you think that American Blacks and b/w Biracials bother to learn much about their collective history? Even vintage Ebony, Jet, Sepia and others, are chocked full of historical information. But do you think that the average black or b/w biracial is interested enough in their own history?

I think a lot of African-Americans don’t know as much about their history as they should but on the other hand, how many white people would know much in DETAIL about the history of colonial figures, the pilgrims, settlers in the American West, etc. besides what they learned in school? In all reality a great deal of people, both Black and White, would not know a great deal of history of their own respective community outside of their school textbooks. That is why the public library is of such GREAT importance. We can learn much about our history and consequently where we are going by taking advantage of the wonderful resources our local library has to offer us.
