my Pocket watch time is slow?
I just got an Irish style claddagh pocket watch, (QUARTZ japan MOTV)
and i set the time, and i checked it an hour later and it was off by around 10 minutes, well, to make things short, i keep setting it and it keeps falling behind, anyone have any ideas on whats going on? its my first pocket watch, am i supposed to wind it…? idk help
I just bought a cheap quartz chinese watch and had exactly the same problem (made me late to an appointment, too arrrg)
I set it aside for a week, and when I checked it again, the problem was obvious — the battery was dead. The battery was probably on its “last legs” the week I bought it.
I would suggest replacing the battery. Radio Shack can do it for you. I take my watches to the local Mall where there is a kiosk with a watch repair guy — he does it pretty cheap.
