Pocket Watch Case
Is anyone familiar with a silver hallmark that is in the form of an eagle with it’s wings spread?
I found it on a silver pocket watch case which has the mark imbeded on it. The watch is from the 1880′s
This hall mark is on a pocket watch. It’s on the case, not the actual movement and I believe the pocketwatch to be from the late 1800′s. I’ve checked with two local watch makers and they have no clue…..The watch is European, either German or English. I just want to find out what that insignia means. Thanks!
Check with a watch maker/ repairman. It sounds like a you’ve found something worth keeping.
