I have finally found a watch that I want for a Christmas present the only problem is though that is is a mans watch

However, would the shop be able to take some links out of the watch so that it fits my wrist or would it be impossible and perhaps time for me to start looking again for another one?

Sorry if you’re reading this question for the second time – I did post it the other day but I only got one legitimate answer – the rest were adverts GRR.
Most probably yes. They can’t take too many out as it will lose it shape so really depends on what size your wrists are. Best bet is to go in and ask them, even better get them to take some out for you to try. It takes no time at all to do, and it’s their job!
