How to not spend money on useless stuff?
I am possibly the worst saver in the world-well,at least the worst saver without a disease that causes it. So for my birthday and christmas present I got a 125 dollar amazon gift card! But I went and spent it on the stupidest,worthless,dumbest knickknacks and novelty desk supplies. Any suggestions for saving money?
Haha I used to do exactly the same. Seeing as you have used Amazon before, I would recommend trying out the “Wish List” feature. When you go to the Amazon homepage, there should be a link to it. Once set up, you can then click “add to Wish List” when you see an item you want. Don’t buy any of them until you have a big list. Then go through it, deleting useful stuff, and reordering them in order of how much you really want them.
Then you will have a budget that you need to save up for, and whenever you get the required amount of money, you can buy the next thing on your wish list. Make sure that if something new tickles your fancy, you add it to the BOTTOM of your list. This way you will be less likely to want as much.
