What reclying options available for clothing? Looking to get rid of bulk clothing, but doesnt fill a trailer
Clothing is used and mixed boxes, mens/ladies/kids. I am trying to find out what recyling options are out there. I have only found trailer loads of clothes that are donated to other countries. I thought that insulation companies took bulk clothing, but did not find any links.
Goodwill, St. Vincent de Paul’s, and other non-profits will accept donations of clothes, shoes and household items.
Such not-for-profits sell some of the clothes in “thrift stores” to make money for their charitable programs, and also in turn donate some of the clothes to shelters, schools and other non-profit programs.
If you have women’s / children’s clothes in decent condition you can donate it to your local battered women’s shelters. It might be easier to just bring it all at once to Goodwill though.
If you want to make a small profit, you can sort thru it and bring the better stuff / brand name /black clothing to second hand stores – some stores buy it outright, some will give you vouchers for their store, and some will sell it on consignment.
