Mechanical Skeleton Watch
Removing a foreign object out of my watch?
I purchased a mechanical skeleton watch over the, and discovered a small foreign object in there. Currently it’s stuck on the glass, but I’m worried it will eventually fall of the glass and get jammed somewhere. I was offered to have the watch exchanged but I dont really want to wait.
Fixing the problem seems easy, just opening up the case and wiping the object off, however i don’t have the right tools.
Any idea how much it would cost to bring it to a watch maker and have him open it and remove it? Shouldn’t cost more than a battery replacement, right?
Or should i buy a watch opener and repair it myself?
you would be waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better off exchangeing it. if you crack it open and fix it, and then it wont go back together, they wont take it back, so i wouldnt risk it. itll be worth the wait
