Mechanical automatic watch problem: stops at a particular position?
I bought this wonderful, automatic, custom jewelry made watch from China but it stops when the second hand passes over certain area (between 45 & 50 seconds). With little shaking it starts working again but this is a major flaw. Sending the watch back to the seller/manufacturer (China) from where I live (San Francisco bay area) is a pain. Is there anything I can do to get it fixed like oiling or repair at a local shop?
How can I advise you? It’s broken. Send it back.
You can try a local jeweler but they will charge you and may not be able to fix it. Probably won’t be able.
