How much should I sell an Italian Porcelain Doll for?
My grandmother gave me a porcelain doll to sell for her on eBay. She wants me to do research on the doll and figure out how much to sell it for. I don’t even know where to begin. I have entered the creator’s name “Creazioni Marigiò” into a search engine, and a website came up, and I had to translate it into English. It was not much help in knowing prices. And there are not any of this type on eBay so I can’t compare prices.

There is a Marigio doll on ebay now with a ‘buy it now’ of $50. It is one of a limited edition of 300. Another sold 18 months ago on ebay for $212.
Is your doll a limited edition? (most of them are). How many in the LE? (lower the better). Does it have original packaging? and is it in perfect condition? Both packaging and condition will affect value.
Secondary market values are always hard to accurately determine unless someone publishes an authorized pride guide and I am not aware of one in this case.
I suggest you agree with your grandmother what she is willing to accept as a minimum (probably between $50 and $100) and list with this value as a starting price. With so few being listed, there is a good chance it will be seen by serious collectors and bid up to its true market value.
