Diamond Round Cut

If a diamond has more depth but is less carats, what significance does that make in the clarity?

The two diamonds below are .3 carats away from each other but the .70 has more depth than the .73. How does that play a significance in the perception of the diamond?
Round-cut diamond solitaire, .70 ct.
Diamond Color: G
Diamond Clarity: VS2
Diamond Measurements: 5.61 x 5.56 x 3.57mm
Depth%: 63.90
Table%: 57.50

Round-cut diamond solitaire: .73 ct.
Diamond Color: G
Diamond Clarity: VS1
Diamond Measurements: 5.73 x 5.75 x 3.43mm
Depth%: 59.76
Table%: 64

The geometry of your gem’s cut is important in two ways. An ideal cut will have the facets cut so that the gem reflects a lot of light to the viewer, (think fire, or sparkle) A diamond that is cut too shallow often looks lifeless or dull. One that is cut too deeply will have dark shadows which isn’t good either.
