Color Led Light
canon camera night settings?
I am going to an event this weekend called GLOW. which is an art exhibit to be viewed at night which means there will be a lot of colored LED lights. I would like to take my tripod and take a lot of pictures. could someone tell me what the best settings would be for my canon SD750? should I change the shutter speed and make it really long? and if so…how long? should I change the ISO? and can I have it on Vivid?
Referring to my trusty FotoSharp (http://www.fotosharp.com) Day & Night Exposure Guide we’ll use the settings for “Neon Signs”.
Camera in “Manual Mode”, flash OFF.
ISO 100
f2.8 @ 1/60 sec
f4 @ 1/30 sec
f5.6 @ 1/15 sec.
f8 @ 1/8 sec
f11 @ 1/4 sec.
These should give you a good starting point. If you decide that exposure adjustments are needed, use the shutter speed ONLY. Changing more than one variable (f-stop, ISO, shutter speed) leads to confusion.
