Clock Brass
What can I add to my room to give it more of an “Alice in Wonderland” feel to it?
Just to let you know I’m already in my late 20′s so it’s not going to be a kids’ room type. I’ve decided to put together some modern style to the room with a black-and-white color theme with a few bright accessories. My dilemma is, I’m not willing to spend or redecorate drastically (like having to paint the walls) so I’m looking for easy ways to give an Alice in Wonderland reference to the space.
I’ve already thought of buying a cheap, old fashioned alarm clock (brass or copper, I saw this at the store it’s pretty common) or Dali Salvador melting clock (if I can find one). What else can I add? Will wall art do? I want a mushroom lampshade but it’s so hard to find (where I’m from anyway), so I guess I’m looking for a clever way to use things commonly found in shops.

Yep, wall art. I think painting a small door, remniscent of the movie. Maybe a queen of hearts styled halloween wig (or make it from a halloween wig), and get a styrofoam head and set up on table. Get an old looking brush, round brush and handled mirror to put out on dressing table or desk. And buy small amounts of material that matches your taste and re cover lampshades and small pillows, etc. Good luck andc just think little things do alot for a room.
