Analog Wrist Watch
Can a slow wrist watch be fixed?
I have an analogue wrist watch that runs slightly slowly. It loses about 2 minutes every day, so each week I have to wind it forwards 15 minutes or so!
Can a jeweller or a repair shop (like Timpsons?) correct it or is the construction of the internal workings make it inherintly wrong? How much is this likely to cost?
It’s a self winding watch (from your body movement)
Depends on the type of watch.
An electronic one has a crystal that controls the speed so it will have to be replaced.
A wind up one can easily be repaired.
If the watch is worth less than £50 don’t bother get another.
